Marco Polo  (c. 1254 – 1324) was a merchant from the Venetian Republic. He is famous for his travels through Asia. He was one of the first Europeans to travel into Mongolia and China. He became famous for his book that told the story of his travels along the Silk Road to China.

King George VI (1895 –1952) was King of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions from 1936 until his death. He was the last Emperor of India (until 1947), the last King of Ireland (until 1949), and the first Head of the Commonwealth.

 

H Chν Minh (1890 – 1969) was a Vietnamese Communist revolutionary and statesman who was prime minister (1946–1955) and president (1945–1969) of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.

Mao Zedong (Mao Tse-tung)( 1893 –1976) was a Chinese revolutionary, political theorist and communist leader. He led the People's Republic of China (PRC) from its establishment in 1949 until his death in 1976. His theoretical contribution to Marxism-Leninism, military strategies, and his brand of Communist policies are now collectively known as Maoism. Mao was a prolific writer of political and philosophical literature. Many of Mao's poems are still popular in China and a few are taught as a mandatory part of the elementary school curriculum.
